Frequently Asked Questions

Do you prescribe stimulant medications?

We do not prescribe controlled substances or stimulants through our telehealth services. This includes medications such as benzodiazepines (e.g., Xanax, Valium, Ativan), amphetamines (e.g., Adderall, Vyvanse, Ritalin), and other similar drugs. Please contact your primary care provider (PCP) or an in-person provider for these medications.

Can you renew my FMLA?

FMLA paperwork and all other fillable documentation aside from ESA letters are not provided services within the telehealth-only practice. Please refer to an in-person provider for further assistance with these needs.

What are your policies regarding third party requests?

For any legal/third party requests via court order, the established rate for consultation is $650 per hour with a minimum of 4 hours.

What can I expect at my follow-up visit?

A 4-week follow-up visit is mandatory for new prescriptions or dose adjustments. Refills require attendance at all initial and follow-up visits, with prescriptions filled for up to 3 months at a time thereafter, as long as no dose adjustments are made.

Is there a fee for medical records?

Medical Records requests will incur a $10.00 processing fee per document provided.

Do you provide ESA letters if I have a pet?

ESA forms may be completed at the provider’s discretion for a $10.00 fee.

How do I reach out with questions?

For the quickest response, you may contact your provider through the secured messaging system in your patient portal. Messages are returned Monday through Friday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm CDT, with a response time of 1-3 business days. Note that turnaround times may vary due to volume.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancel your visit within 48 hours of the scheduled time to avoid late/no-show fees.

How do I pay for services?

Clients can pay for their appointments directly through our secure SimplePractice Client Portal. Payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot, and all major credit and debit cards are accepted. Payment information is securely processed and stored in compliance with industry privacy standards. If you save a card on file, it will be automatically charged for future sessions based on our payment policy, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. Please note that our practice operates on a private-pay basis, and we do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide a superbill upon request if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance. For follow-up sessions, payment is always collected during booking, and a receipt will be emailed to you for your records. If you have questions about payments, feel free to contact us directly.

What happens after I book an appointment?

After you book an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with the details of your session, including the date, time, and type of appointment. If you are a new client, you’ll also get access to our secure Client Portal to complete any required intake forms and provide your payment information. For follow-ups, you’ll receive an appointment reminder via email or text before your session. If you have any questions or need to reschedule, feel free to contact us directly.

Do you take insurance?

We do not bill insurance directly, as our practice operates on a private-pay basis. This approach allows us to prioritize your care by eliminating the barriers and delays often associated with insurance approval processes. By working directly with you, we ensure transparent pricing, more time for personalized treatment, and greater flexibility in tailoring care to your unique needs. If you have insurance and wish to seek reimbursement, we can provide you with a superbill—a detailed receipt of services that you can submit to your insurance provider. Please note that reimbursement varies depending on your plan, and we encourage you to contact your provider to understand your out-of-network benefits. Our goal is to offer accessible and high-quality mental health care without the constraints of insurance, so you can focus entirely on your well-being.
